New Volunteer Information and Forms

CASA volunteers come from all walks of life with one thing in common, they care about children. No special or legal schooling is required, just a caring heart and passion for helping others. Volunteer advocates meet with all parties involved in a case, with focus on the child(ren) involved. As a volunteer, you will meet regularly with the child(ren) to make recommendations to the court as to what action needs to be taken in their best interest.

Start by following the link to the online volunteer application, or by downloading the application form below. Once you have submitted a completed application, the next step is to attend an interview prior to being accepted into training. Volunteers must be 21 years old and pass the background screening checks. Volunteer applicants must complete the initial  classroom training sessions before swearing in as an officer of the court.

Applications are accepted 2 weeks prior to the first day of training.  Email  Anne if you have any questions, or call 605-394-2203 to request an application by mail.

Please return completed forms to the CASA office at:

Seventh Circuit CASA Program
2650 Jackson Blvd.
Rapid City, SD 57702

All forms are downloadable in PDF format. If you do not have Acrobat Reader, you can download it free at www.adobe.com.
